FRATERNITY OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI, OSMdL
The Chilonga Mission in Zambia is primarily of a pastoral nature. The Opera S. Maria della Luce is presently present with three priests and two seminarians and follows the “Villaggio S. Vincenzo de 'Paoli” project which will take care of children aged 14 to 18 to train them through agricultural courses in anticipation of setting up an activity cooperative work.
The priests of the OSMdL collaborate with the parish priests of the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Chilonga and are available to the Diocese of Mpika for further pastoral activities concerning the territory. These include assistance to the nearby Mpika Hospital and to the School National Nursing Sciences.
