Mauro Faina Village

The Mauro Faina Village is a house of coexistence that was born thanks to the generosity of Teresa Faina  and the availability of the Opera S. Maria della Luce to create a residential center for  young people in difficulty and in need of support.

The spirit of the village starts from the ora et labora of Benedetto da Norcia and intends to give to  person a help, regardless of culture, religious belief, respecting and valuing  individual resources.

The power of prayer in tune with the luminous message of the  Marian shrine of Collelungo finds, a completion with the commitment of every day through  the agricultural and artisan work and the various study, cultural and recreational activities that the team of  village coordinates and promotes over time.

Fundamental prerogatives are the link with life  spiritual, the prayer of the Sanctuary of S. Maria della Luce. Relations with the outside through  encounters and experiences lead to the development of the village life itself and, therefore, its inclusion  in the social fabric. The extended family style is the leitmotiv of the Mauro Faina Village.

Only the family, nourished by Christian values, promotes the individual in the affective dimension,  moral and social. The responsibility and functioning of the Mauro Faina Village lies with the Foundation  Tu es Sacerdos - onlus in collaboration with the Associazione Comunità Nazareth - onlus  and with the Labor Cooperative Society, agricultural and artisanal, which promotes employment activities  for those who live in the village.
