Il Girasole Center
Il Girasole is a day health center and outpatient inaugurated on 8 December of 1996 under the Health Department of Dr. Velio Lorenzini, aimed at children and boys with psychomotor difficulties. There its seat is that of the ex Infantile Kindergarten of the Cardinal Bonaventura Cerretti Institute di Morrano governed by a board of directors entirely appointed by bishop of Orvieto-Todi, of which the same is president. Thanks to some facilities specifications in the nearby building of the Casa Natività di Maria, the Il Girasole center, offers psychomotor activities and water therapies.
The professional team of the center made up of specialist doctors, psychologist and operators of the various rehabilitation sectors, collaborates with the public assistance services and makes use of the consultancy of the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital in Rome. During the summer months the center offers a playful activity open to local children and teenagers.
The Il Girasole Center welcomes young people for internships required for undergraduates in educational sciences and in therapeutic techniques.
